I believe in the power of birth. I believe in its ability to show you strength you didn't realize you held all along.
Birth is an initiation into motherhood, requiring nurturing support, protection and care. I strive to help you feel comfortable and confident with your upcoming journey of giving birth. As your Doula, I will help you create realistic expectations about your unique birth experience and help you to feel grounded and supporting during this beautiful time.
Regardless of your birthing intention such as home birth, non-medicated or medicated hospital birth, VBAC or Cesarian birth, I will wholeheartedly offer you unbiased support.
I take on a limited number of clients at any one time to make sure I can give you the full care and attention you deserve. By offering Prenatal Visits, my goal is to reduce any stress, allowing you to pay attention to your body and your baby. Prenatal visits last about 1 1/2 hours-2 hours and we will discuss everything from your birth plan, comfort measures, the process and stages of labor, different positions to labor in and answer any questions you may have. I want you to feel comfortable with the natural process of giving birth to your baby. The first prenatal visit is scheduled around 30 weeks and the 2nd prenatal visit is around 35-37 weeks.
"The knowledge about how to give birth is born within every woman: women do not need to be taught how to give birth but rather to have more trust and faith in their own body knowledge;"
With my Birthing Guidance, I offer
unwavering support to you and your family before, during and after birth. I will not give you medical guidance, but I will provide you with physical, emotional, spiritual and educational support. I will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you're doing and step in with anything you might need. I encourage you to ask me questions during pregnancy so that you are informed to make decisions about your birth journey and transition into motherhood.
Pregnancy, birth and the early days of motherhood can feel overwhelming, and isolating. It is said that the way the mother is cared for in the first 42 days after birth will dictate her health for the next 42 years. Taking care of yourself and allowing others to help so you can nurture yourself and your baby is so important. I love helping women feel confident in their instinctual ability to mother their child and feel comfortable with breastfeeding if this is your choice.
